Somerville got a taste of this winter’s first blizzard where mother nature dumped over 6’’ inches of snow on the city this past weekend.The City of
Somerville declared a snow emergency effective 2 PM on Saturday, December. 14th. and a parking ban went into effect until 11:30 am on Sunday the following day.
Parking was allowed only on the odd-numbered side of the road (unless otherwise posted).
Somerville resident John Roderick said that “he got the new snow blower in just a nick of time from Maestranzi Brothers in Beverly and once he starts it up, he usually does all his neighbors walkways and driveways for them!”
