It’s about time!
Mayor Ballantyne and Chief Breen invite community members to celebrate the grand opening of the Assembly Square Fire Station (45 Middlesex Ave.) on Saturday, October 18, at 10 a.m.
This station is the first newly constructed fire station in more than 50 years and is entirely fossil-fuel-free. The event will feature a fire hose uncoupling, an open house-style walkthrough of the station, light refreshments, and more. More information at somervillema.gov/news
