On Wednesday, 10 September 2025, Mr. Gene Brune, the Organizer of this year’s 2025 Somerville Lion’s Club Awards Night, along with President Mr. Liam Seward, Secretary Mr. Larry Murphy, presenting a Financial Donation to Mr. David M. Mangan President of the Somerville Youth & Recreation Foundation (SYRF).

The Somerville Youth Recreation Foundation (SYRF) is a Non-profit foundation and was formed exclusively in 2006 for charitable purposes. The principal objective is to elicit funding through solicitation and fund raising to support the educational, social, and sporting development of the youth in Somerville. Your contribution provides our youth with opportunities that guide their activity needs, interests, and aspirations for the future. These include special needs, recreational and educational programs, events, and academic scholarships. The SYRF web site may be viewed at http://SomervilleYouthRecF.org
