Greeting post Gobble Day! The hooplah is shortly gone and events begin. Fun and spiritual. I had the pleasure of having an overdue coffee with my friend and talented woman Elizabeth “Betsy” Pesce of Medford. She has a known image here for many who attended St.Joseph Church for years with her Chorale Directorship…and the Popular October Concert there. And always poised, groomed to go and friendly.
Betsy was raised in Somerville, MA, and moved to Medford to me same area after marrying Phillip who was her “compare song” buddy at work. I do say a nice match as both can sing and love music. We compared songs, too, as I was reared on so much at home going back 50 years! She taught music years ago after Graduating from University of Lowell and then earned a Master Degree. She remained later for many years
as Liturgy Director which ended sadly in change on a November Day. Betsy wasted no time, and I see emerged ASAP heading a Medford Adult and Youth Chorale. Nice for her and nice for us!
We do not have a newspaper now formally, but the news can spread on Betsy and her Holiday Concert!! it brings message and Christmas in a second way. Time and energy as a person, plus for Medford. I attended 4-5 concerts and suggest a good night for spirit and tunes at the Caron Theatre at MHS on Dec. 14…. raffles, too, all size donations! Play on….
In a thankful and giving spirit to and from the LIONS…we LIONheart thank Peter DeSantis for his great catering and fine donation to this great cause, mostly eyesight at our Turkey Raffle night! These events and people make the weeks noted and add spirit to us.
