The Somerville community is invited to attend the 2024 Inauguration celebration on Tuesday, January 2. At the Inauguration your elected officials get sworn in for their two-year terms in office, followed by addresses from the Mayor, President of the City Council, and Chair of the School Committee.

Organizational meetings of the City Council and School Committee will precede the ceremony at 5 p.m. in the City Council Chambers in City Hall (93 Highland Ave). The Inauguration begins at 6 p.m. in the Somerville High School Auditorium (81 Highland Ave.) and is immediately followed by a reception and party at The Row Hotel at Assembly Row (360 Foley St.) at 7:30 p.m.
