Somerville/Medford Remembering Margaret A. “Peggy” Sally-Meaney December 13, 1955 – December 19, 2021


Sally-Meaney, Margaret A. ‘Peggy” of Woonsocket, Ri formerly of Somerville passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 19, 2021. She was 66.

Born in Boston and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Virginia H. (Walker) Meaney.
Peggy was an out-going women who could make friends wherever she went. If she wasn’t making friends, she would be on twitter tweeting about something that came to her mind. She wasn’t one to hold back what she said, and this may have had her in twitter jail a few times. She loved to play games on pogo and cook delicious meals for her family. Peggy was a woman of strong faith and most of all she loved her family endlessly.
She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Sally. She was the devoted mother of William Fitzpatrick, Patricia Fitzpatrick, Diana Fitzpatrick and her companion Erik Moore and the loving grandmother of Katie Rousseau, Gianna Cruthird-Moore and the late Marissa Fitzpatrick. The dear sister of William A. Meaney and his wife AnnMarie Lucchesi-Meaney, Theresa J. Dinicola-Meaney and the late Kathleen Singletary-Meaney and John J. Meaney and the god mother of Andrew W. Dinicola and David W. Singletary. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Tuesday morning, December 28th from 9 to 10 AM. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford, St., Somerville at 10 AM.
