Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,

Is there anything at all we can do about these rats on Cutter Street behind the old East Side Grill? The breakfast place on Broadway there has trash everywhere as the same as for many restaurants throughout the city are contributing to the same problem.

I have poison traps, maybe six of them and they don’t bother with them. We need to deal with these places down here that don’t do trash right, I brought my dog out to do her thing and there was a rat bigger than her in my yard. City Hall is not doing anything and they haven’t been because they just don’t care. The city councilors are useless and don’t listen. I sure hope that you get into office as our next mayor to straighten this city out.

Please help and tell me what to do?
