A very well-known Somerville Youth Hockey coach that everybody has loved and adored for many seasons was let go for political retaliation just recently after he refused to meet Mayor Joe’s demands to make his son captain of the hockey team.

After the mayors young hockey player went back to his daddy and told him that the hockey coach won’t make him the captain he was fired.

This coach put his integrity and his honor as a coach in front of political favoritism and fear, spoke up for what he believed in and what was right but Mayor Joe still made an example out of him and showed him who was in charge.

To my understanding a hockey coach makes minimal pay to coach a Somerville Youth Hockey team here in Somerville. This coach didn’t take on this job obviously for the money, he does it for the love of the game and for the love of the kids in his community.

It’s a real sad day in Somerville when a sitting mayor has to bully a Somerville Youth Hockey coach in trying to force him to make his son a captain and throwing a hissy fit after he’s refused.

All this shows me that Mayor Joe is nothing but a big spoiled coward and sadly that his apples don’t fall far from his tree.

From being the head of a major political crime family, to firing his kids Youth Hockey coach! Now that’s sad, real sad!

This despicable act just proves and backs up the truth that it’s time for change in Somerville!
