Advising renters they do not have to pay their rent is not the right advise that should be given. Renters should be encourage to pay or work with the homeowmer to ensure a payment program is worked out.
This will ensure both parties can remain living in the home they reside in to think that all homeowners can afford their home without rent payments is ludicrous.
Instead of the Mayor and his Housing group attacking the homeowners because they have equity not cash. They should focus on doing positive things such as Boston by raising funds to assist those truly in need.
Boston does need to ensure that the money goes to the landlord and their is abuse by the applicant pool.
Lets not implement a program or ordinance unless it is fair for all those involved.
