Maureen A. Toland-Lauretano
April 7, 1948 – October 10, 2019

Maureen A. Toland – Lauretano, Life-long Somerville resident passed peacefully on October 10, 2019.

Beloved wife of Jerry Lauretano.
Loving mother and best friend to Danae Lauretano (Kristiansen) and her partner Matthew Kirylo of Medford.
Most cherished Mimi to Brenna Kristiansen and Ella Kristiansen.
Daughter of Anna (Farren) Toland and Daniel Toland. Her roots began in Malin Head, Ireland.
Sister to the late Kathleen Toland and Daniel Toland.
She is also survived by the most wonderful nieces, grand nieces, grand nephews and the most cherished and loyal group of friends.
Maureen worked as a surgery coordinator at Harvard Vanguard in Cambridge before she retired. Prior to that Maureen worked at Charlie’s Kitchen for over twenty years.

Maureen was creative and crafty. She enjoyed traveling and visiting casinos with her husband, family and best friend Maria Labella. Her favorite was Atlantic City because Brenna and Ella loved it so much. Even bigger than her love for slot machines was her love for her granddaughters. She loved her family and friends with her whole heart. Celebrating Christmas at Lorene’s and St. Patrick’s Day at Danae and Matt’s were her favorites. She had an amazing strength, positive attitude and resilience that shined bright.

All that were so touched by Maureen are invited to attend: George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, MA on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:30pm. Service from 4:30pm – 5:00pm.
