Bill hope all is well this is Jason Kahan I have worked for you indirectly for years. Lived in Somerville for a long time friends with Santangelos and many others. My wife is the owner of 171 Cedar we are developing it together. There was a story today failed to mention that the Dirt and soil there was dumped illegally and not to our knowledge. We have nothing to do with the Royal Laundry site it’s owned by someone else. Our site is not contaminated and we aren’t cleaning up. We noticed the dump most likely by an illegal. We aren’t there daily as it’s in zoning. We had no idea about this situation until a day or so ago and this is not the case.
I am also the only person in 38 years affected by the condo ordinance when the City backed an extortionist who 5 years later still won’t leave the unit.
I hope we can have the opportunity to tell our side or we should have been asked what it was my wife is very active in Somerville as a realtor and is all over the place. She has a memorial being built there as well for the person murdered there. I hope to hear from you.
Jason Kahan and Olga Bassa should be avoided. Very poor moral and ethical character.
What an arrogant response by this developer! This is not the first local news story about Jason Kahan building issuees… he seems to accept no responsibility as to the cleanliness or conditions of his property.

Resistat meetings are a waste of your time. The city brings these plans to present to you and ask for your thoughts or opinions. The plans have already been made, bids sent out and accepted. Your attendance is a waste of time because the decision has been made and your input is meaningless.
The mayor has to bring this information to the public, it’s a requirement. Don’t let him pull the wool over your eyes by asking for your input, it holds no water.

This guys a real pip. First, he’s lying thru his teeth. Him and his wife bought up Royal laundry at 165 Cedar just like they bought 171 where he dumped all of the poison. And then he tells you it isnt him. This is the same guy that almost killed a couple of workers over on Tufts st. when he lied to them about the building being safe when he had no permits to even be working on it and the whole building collapsed on top of them. The guy is a criminal. Worst developer in the city.
