Somerville Say Farewell to American Legion Post 447/ Somerville Memorial Post & Solare Trane Amvets Post 4

The landmark green building that once housed the local American Legion Post 447/ Somerville Memorial Post/ Solare Trane Amvets Post 4 located at the intersection of Somerville Avenue at Rossmore Street in Somerville has been demolished this past Tuesday.

The building was utilized as a meeting place as well as a function facility over the past decades that hosted numerous events on Somerville Avenue.

The space makes way for a new development that’s planned to be built at that site scheduled to be completed by this coming summer of 2019.
