Meet this week’s “Special Person of the Week:Richie Dwyer

Richie Dwyer, was born at the Somerville Hospital.
He is a lifelong Somerville resident who attended St.Ann’s Grammar School and graduated from St clements High School. 
Richie is the owner of R&D Home Improvements and he a licensed construction supervisor, a builder, a property development and condo conversions expert right here in the city. 
He has been in business here in Somerville for the past twenty eight years and constantly gives back to the community in many ways. 
He is very involved in many local charities here in the city and he’s always one of the first to stand in line to help out when a fellow neighbor is in need and needs a helping hand. 
Richie is a really nice guy with a friendly smile and an infectious laugh who enjoys spending his free time with his little girl Ava. 

 
Our hats are off to his true Somerville spirit!

  1. Trum field.You guys helped me get in shape for newyork and Cape leagues against the d1 ,to d3 guys ,all those nights running paid off in bball and life.Also playing at tufts til 3am after lights went out at trum.

Thinking about random people I used to hang out with or knew from my years in Somerville/Magoun Sq./Trum Park, and googled Richie who was quite the basketball competitor when we would run full courts every night at Trum in the summer some 20+ years ago, and anyways glad to read this and know he’s doing well with his daughter as I’m just on the other side of the city raising my son in Southie.
