This past Wednesday, six officers from the Somerville Police Department joined hundreds of other Massachusetts police officers to show their support for a three (3) year old girl who has Leukemia.

Over 85 cruisers from dozens of Police Departments escorted 3 year old Gianna and her family from their home to the Tewksbury PD where they were presented with a check from Cops For Kids with Cancer.

The S.P.D. officers assisted the Tewksbury Police and the Cops For Kids With Cancer organization, to bring financial support to the family and let them know that they are in our thoughts and prayers.
The Somerville Police Superior Officers Association also made a donation to help the family with some of their financial needs.

  1. I think we have one of the best policemen and police women around Massachusetts always willing to lend a hand when it’s needed. Thank you very much for caring and all of your hard work
