It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frances “Fran” Deady, who passed away on February 23, 2026, at the age of 81.

Fran dedicated more than 50 years of distinguished service to the City of Medford Police Department. Throughout her remarkable career, she served in multiple roles, including Police Matron, Traffic Supervisor, Head Clerk, and in computer operations.

Fran’s decades of service reflect a deep dedication to the department and the Medford community. She was an integral part of the organization and helped shape the department through years of change and growth.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of working alongside her. She will be remembered with gratitude and respect. May she rest in peace.
