Obituary
Patricia Ann Hughes (Slye), formerly of Somerville and a resident of Florida, passed away on January 17, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred W. Hughes.

Patricia was a loving mother to Barry Hughes of Florida and David Hughes of Ohio. She was a cherished grandmother to Amanda Hughes of Miami, Zachary Hughes of Wellington, FL, Leah Hughes of Salem, MA, and Gillian Hughes of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Patricia was also a proud great-grandmother to Jadelynn Markle, Benicio, Leonardo Corredor, and James Beyer. She was the sister of the late Malcolm Slye.

Patricia dedicated many years of her career working at MIT in Cambridge and Tufts University in Medford. A graveside service will be held in her honor on Thursday morning, January 29th, 2026, at 11:15 am at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne, MA 02532.
