Obituary

Querino Federico, Jr. 86, of Manchester-by-the-Sea and formerly of Somerville, passed away on December 27, 2025, he was the 2nd of 4 children, born in Boston, MA son of Carolina (DiPietro) and Querino Federico, Sr. After graduating from Somerville High School, he enlisted in the Army stationed out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky and served from April of 1961 to 1964.

He was the beloved husband of the late Lucille (Ianuzzi) Federico, who died in 2011, after the army the couple were married in St. Clement Church, settled and raised their family in Somerville. He worked in construction with the local 4 Hoisting @ Engineering.
A few years after construction he earned his real estate license and after selling properties for a short time he went on to enjoy a successful career investing in his own real estate properties and stock investments. When not working he kept busy with many projects around his house. He loved to take rides throughout New England with his family especially the White mountains in New Hampshire, Vermont, the coast of Maine, the Berkshires, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, also in those earlier years trips included California, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, Florida. Towards the later years they relocated to Manchester by the sea, where he loved to work on many more home projects over those years, there he also loved cooking for his family and even the dogs! He will truly be remembered for his own unique sense of humor, was never one to sugarcoat things he unequivocally said it like it was!

Querino was that rare person who left an undeniable impression with you, many who had met him in this life would absolutely agree to this.
Querino is survived by his children; Gia Federico, of Manchester by the sea, Christopher Federico and his wife Gail Federico, of Somerville and his brother Domenic Federico.

In addition to his beloved wife Lucille, he was predeceased by his sister Nina Lentini and brother Samuel Federico.

In keeping with Querino’s wishes, funeral services and entombment at Woodlawn Mausoleum, Everett will be private.
