It is with profound sadness that the family of Emile Joseph announces his passing on November 23, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on April 20, 1947, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Emile lived a life marked by unwavering faith, dignity, devotion, and service to both his family and community.

Emile was the cherished son of Ycarise Jean and Emmanuel Joseph. From a young age, he exemplified strong values, deep compassion, and a generous spirit—qualities he carried throughout his life. He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Marie Joseph, with whom he shared 45 years of love, partnership, and dedication.

After immigrating to the United States, Emile began a long and respected career at Harvard University, where he was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment. Beyond his professional life, he possessed a special gift for sewing and tailoring, generously offering his skills to help family, friends, and anyone in need. A devout servant of God, Emile was a faithful and active member of his church, giving his time and heart to the ministry and community he dearly loved.

Emile leaves this earth his devoted wife, Marie Joseph, and his beloved children:

Bobby Joseph, Frantzy Joseph, Gregory Joseph, Dumy Joseph, Emilson Joseph, and Daryl Joseph. He leaves behind his daughter-in-law, Nagatha Joseph. He is also survived by his precious grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy: Ayanna Joseph, Nyimma Joseph, Hezekiah Joseph, Aaliyah Joseph, and Kamren Joseph. He also leaves behind his beloved great-grandchild: Josiah Chery.

Emile is survived by his sister, Mathilde Aimé and brother, Monterval Joseph, and is preceded in death by Saint-Armand Pierre, and Mathieu Joseph. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, including: Wilter Joseph, Lourdia Joseph, Emmanuel Joseph, Christina Joseph, Jonette Joseph, Mackendy Joseph, Jean Robens Sanon, Frantzo Aimé and Maryse Pierre.

Emile will always be remembered for his warm humor, outgoing nature, and the joy he brought into every room. He was loving, supportive, steadfast, and deeply devoted to his role as a husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His firm yet caring guidance shaped the lives of those around him, and his presence will be profoundly missed. Emile Joseph’s legacy of love, faith, humility, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Dumy Joseph for the exceptional care, dedication, and compassion he provided throughout Emile’s illness. His unwavering commitment—accompanying Emile to every medical appointment, ensuring his comfort, and offering steadfast support—was a true demonstration of love, honor, and devotion. The family will forever remain grateful for his selfless service during Emile’s final journey.

Funeral Services will begin on Saturday, December 6, 2025 with visitation in the Holy Bible Baptist Church, 64 College Ave, Somerville from 8:00AM – 9:00AM with a Funeral Service to follow at 9:00AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend.

Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
