Obituary

James K. Cafferky Jr., affectionately known as Jimmy, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, in Medford. He was the beloved son of Carole J. Cafferky and the late James K. Cafferky Sr. Jimmy was a cherished brother to Carolyn Brosnan of Medford, Elizabeth Sudkin of Natick, Christopher Cafferky and his wife Erin of Medford, John Cafferky and his wife Traci of Winchester, Stephen Cafferky of Somerville, and Jennifer Cafferky of Somerville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jimmy was a proud member of Local # 103, Electrical Union, dedicating 40 years to his work. His commitment and contributions to the union were highly valued.

A funeral procession will commence from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, located at 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, on Saturday morning, January 4, 2025, at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Raphael Church in Medford at 10:00. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00. Interment will be private.
