One of our most important institutions that is constantly forgotten is the Registry of Deeds.
We are only reminded of this elected office when securing property or concluding a transaction involving real estate. Then, it becomes the most important focus in the business of the day..

I plan to restore the integrity and accountability, that the Registry of Deeds should have at all times. But, has faltered, even prior to the covid epidemic.

It’s time we make the changes needed to set us back on the right course and reestablish conducting business in a proper way.

Now I have been recently told horror stories of how ownership of real properties have been stripped away and reissued to undeserving parties from fudged paperwork or misfilings. Let me just tell you that the stories I have heard have been investigated to uncover the truth. It is appalling that someone entrusted in a seat of power can easily manipulate the system to benefit their friends and hurt innocent people.

It isn’t just time for a change, it’s time to step up and fix the problems that rotate daily in the Commonwealth and make things right for those deserving.

If elected Registrar of Deeds for Southern Middlesex County, I would implement the following changes to streamline the registry and enhance its efficiency and cost-effectiveness:

1 Address the Backlog: Prioritize correcting and updating the backlog of registered land records to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

2 Expand Staffing: Hire sufficient staff to ensure all departments operate efficiently, reducing delays and improving service quality.

3 Enhance Training: Implement comprehensive training programs for any new software related to title searching, ensuring all staff are proficient and up-to-date.

4 Foster Collaboration: Organize monthly meetings with attorneys, title examiners, civil engineers, and land surveyors to gather feedback and address concerns, which will help improve online access and overall service.

5 Investigate Fraud: Establish an in-house department dedicated to investigating fraudulent recordings to safeguard the integrity of the registry.

6 I will protect your home, your property and I will fight public corruption.

This would be just the beginning of the many more things that we can accomplish together once in office.

I vow to set things right, and run a trustworthy office for all to keep faith in. Remember I need everyone here to help me.
