Obituary
Robert J. Haley passed away on May 25, 2024 in the comfort of the home he grew up in. He was 70. Born and raised in Somerville he was the son of the late Ruth L. (Mahoney) and Robert J. Haley. Robert graduated from Somerville High School and served for several years in the United States Coast Guard, Sector Boston.
For many years, he worked for the Visiting Nurse Association on Lowell Street in Somerville as a caretaker for their facilities. Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing and time spent outdoors. He could often be found tending to his lawn and garden and walking his cherished dog Hope and the late Phoebe.
Robert is survived by his brothers and sisters; Kathleen Johanson and her husband Chris, Ken Haley and his wife Carol all of Somerville, Karen Quasarano and her husband Chris of Reading and Timothy Haley of Medford and his late wife Paula. Dear uncle of Eric, Christina, Alison, Rachel, Christopher, Amanda, Nick and Jessica. Great-uncle to many grand nieces and nephews.
A private burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
