A CALL FOR TRANSPARENCY AND INTEGRITY IN ELECTIONS, PUTTING CITY ON NOTICE

By Rick Scirocco

After the November election, more than one city and town have the belief that abnormal election results have been unofficially declared.
Including Somerville, Medford, Revere, and other local cities, the questions of impropriety have cited challenges and discrepencies, and plan on taking action.

The performance of Election Department personnel, and the Secretary of State providing the same machines in question, may have contained elements of being compromised, prior, to being distributed to cities and townships.

A letter by the Tauro Committee was issued to State and Federal official departments prior to the challenge date deadline of recount requests. This specific challenge included compromised actions that limits Massachusetts state leaders from conducting investigations according to Mass General Law Chapters because of the direct involvement from the Secretary of States offices which could present muddy waters creating a slippery slope, for a proper honest ruling. The content in the letter did not focus on a specific recount, but, instead made claim to several actions that violated election laws.

Sparked by an unofficial ballot count survey, the Tauro Committee voters of Somerville made contact throughout the month long election process by sending copies of filled out cast ballots, as well as communicating directly reporting multiple family household votes towards William Tauro for Mayor. It became a real question of truth of warranting further disclosure be required, once the number declared in the election was much lower than the number communicated to Tauro, not even an hour after the election. Prior to election day, over six thousand votes were collected but not processed according to the election department. During the election day, it was reported that close to nine thousand ballots were collected from voter drop boxes around the city close to the 5pm deadline. The vote number on election day was undetermined, but, reported to be over six thousand. Feasibly, with the low number of election department officers and personnel, it would have been impossible to process, record names of identification for the ballot holder, sort, and separate for distribution to each respective ward, and finally send through the machines. Spotters were carefully watching the actions throughout the day of election officers. It falls back on the actions of election personnel, that will eventually be held responsible for their actions. Their only hope now in order to avoid lawsuits or criminal procecution, is, to fully cooperate and seek protection under Mass Gen Law Chapter 54 section 120 by disclosing their knowledge of any illegal conduct. They must come forward and make a legal statement before formal charges are filed with state and federal courts. They are welcome to contact the Tauro Committee directly by emailing to one of the following;

Faith in the electoral process may have finally been lost in the heart of the American people. The laws that protect the election officials may needto be amended as well. Change for an overhaul is the future solution and William Tauro is fighting to protect voter rights for our future. More will follow as this breaks.

  1. 6 boneheads commenting here. You’re all cheerleading a city government that has turned this city into a toilet. You deserve what you get. Dumbed down America strikes again.

  2. Election integrity = a 60 something man who wants to act like a spoiled baby every time he loses.

    When you lose, why can’t you admit defeat and be gracious about it? This “statement” defies all rules of logic and competent writing.

  3. Somerville deserves better than a 2 time trust fund loser who can’t accept defeat. You don’t care about elections integrity.

  4. What a waste of Somerville’s money and resources. Please just go back to Tewksbury and leave Somerville alone.
