Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,

So I went to Market Basket in Brockton this morning at 530am. There were probably 15+ senior citizens headed in to shop. I had seen on Channel 5 news that they were setting aside hours from 530am-7am for seniors to shop safely. We had all been in the store for 10-15 minutes and were scurrying around to get in and out as quickly as possible. The cashiers were there and waiting! Over the loud speaker comes this manager pictured on the left telling everyone to leave there carriages and get out of the store! When we got to the front of the store he began yelling at all of us and said the store doesn’t open till 6am and everyone needs to leave immediately. He yelled, “can’t you people read the sign in the door?” I have never seen a manager so angry with people. He should be ashamed of himself yelling at these people the way he did. Mind you the store was fully stocked and the cashiers were ready! He made a nasty comment to everyone on there way out the door. Some of these seniors were well into there 80s and the were very upset. SHAME ON YOU MARKET BASKET IN BROCKTON!!!!
