Meet this week’s Special Person of the Week: Patty Gallagher
Patty was born in March of 1965 at the Somerville Hospital, so literally born in the Ville.
Patty grew up in the Clarendon Hill Projects and like many others who worked hard their whole life, she made something of herself instead of being a statistic.
To date she is a two-time cancer survivor. Ten years ago she beat thyroid cancer and after recently hearing the “C” word for the second time she handled it the same way.
This is just another obstacle to jump over, but fortunately she caught it early and now she is “Cancer Free” once again!
Patty started her career at Quirk Motors in the late 80s and then moved on to the car dealership Sentry in Medford where you can see her smiling face in the service dept on a daily basis.
Our hats are off to het true Somerville Spirit!
We here at the Somerville News Weekly salute you for everything that you do to make Somerville a better place.
Congratulations!
