Obituary

Mrs. Gloria J. (Pike) Burgos, of Somerville, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, December 17th she was 77.

Born in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late Joan M. (Lincoln) and Charles V. Pike. The beloved wife of Monserrate Burgos, together they recently celebrated 58 years of marriage.

In addition to her devoted husband, she is survived by her cherished children; William Burgos and his wife Therese and Michelle Burgos Collins and her husband Robert and a loving grandmother of Michael, Brian and Alyssa Burgos, Ryan, Sean and his wife Brittany, and Samantha Collins. Dear sister of Dorothy Pike, Kenneth Pike and the late John, James and Charles Pike.

Family was first and foremost in Gloria’s life and she enjoyed nothing more than time spent together. Occasionally she enjoyed trips the Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun and more recently Encore to try her luck on the slot machines. Her most favorite hobbies included going to bingo, traveling to Puerto Rico to visit family and spending time with her family on cruise ships!

Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Thursday, December 21st from 3:00PM to 7:00PM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at http://www.alz.org
