ORTOLANI, Rita Georgiana

(Finn) 85, of Somerville and Danvers, passed away from complications of Alzheimer’s on January 20, 2015. Rita was born in Somerville, MA, daughter to the late Albert and Mary Ellen (Grimes) Finn.
Beloved wife of the late Alfred Joseph Ortolani, Sr. Devoted mother to Rosemary Fontaine and husband George, of Winchester VA, Christine of Leominster, Alfred Jr. of Peabody, Stephen and wife Marie, of Winthrop, Marcia of Gresham OR, Marilyn Mahoney of Gloucester, Rita French of Somerville, Andrew and wife Michelle, of Georgetown, Daniel of Somerville, David of Kona HI. Loving matriarch to 5 generations including 25 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren. Survived by her sister Helen Keane of Somerville, and many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Preceded in death by sisters Anna Phelan, Mary McPhail, Gertrude Grant, Mildred Hawkins, Margaret Rose, Edith Fitzgerald, Georgiana Finn, and brothers Edward and Albert Finn. Rita was a lifetime member and past president of Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post 388.
