Obituary
Suzanne M. Spignese – Of Danvers, formerly of Somerville, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. She was 91 years old.
Born and raised in Somerville, she was the beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Maniofi) Spignese. Suzanne carried with her a deep love for family throughout her life. She treasured the time spent together, whether it was sharing stories around the table or simply enjoying each other’s company.
Suzanne had a passion for travel, especially trips to the coast of Maine. She found great joy in the summer months, feeling the warm sea breeze against her face and listening to the calming rhythm of the ocean waves. Those seaside escapes brought her peace and happiness. She also enjoyed unwinding with a glass of wine, savoring life’s simple pleasures and moments of relaxation.
Beloved sister of Frank Spignese and his wife Karen of Malden, the late James Matterese, John Spignese, Anthony Spignese, Teresa Wilson, and Rose Materese. She is also lovingly survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday February 17th in St. Joseph Church 252 Washington St. (Union Sq.) at 10:00AM. Please meet directly at church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Services will conclude with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
