HARDY, Stephen of Somerville. Passed away peacefully on February 5th, 2026. Beloved son of the late Alfred and Claire Hardy. Loving father of Keryn Lee of CA and Caitlin Hardy of Somerville. Devoted brother of Alfred Hardy, Diane Rayner, Claire Whalen, Patricia Benoit, Colleen Corey, and Thomas Hardy, and the late Donna Hardy, James Hardy, John Hardy, Barbara Nicholas and Timothy Hardy. Also survived by his loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Stephen was born, raised and educated in Somerville. He worked many years as a Master Plumber for the City of Somerville and he was the proud owner of Hardy Plumbing. Three time past president and long time member of the Somerville City Club. Stephen was a longtime men’s and women’s softball coach were he won multiple championships. He was a avid Boston sports fan and loved being close to the beach. He will be missed by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation in Saint Joseph’s Church on Thursday Feb. 12th from 10-11 am. Followed by his funeral mass in Saint Joseph’s Church at 11 am. I am so sorry to hear of Stephens passing.A great man who adored his family!I never heard him raise his voice but he did not have to.You could sense the strength in him.A true gentleman to all people .He will be sorely missed.God Bless him and his family remember the good times!
