Obituary
Mr. Henry Augusto Maciel, a lifelong Somerville resident, passed away on Thursday, October 24th he was 91. Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Jose A. and Mary D. (Soares) Maciel. A graduate of Somerville High School, Henry worked for the Somerville Public School System as a custodian and retired following many years of service.
In earlier years, Henry enjoyed trips to Las Vegas to try his luck at the tables games and slot machines and was an avid horseracing fan.
Henry is survived by his sons; Joseph Maciel of Beverly and John Maciel and his wife Linda of Westford and his grandchildren; Krisslyn, Joseph, Jr., Savannah, Kevin and James Maciel. He was the brother of the late Mary Maciel, who recently passed away in September.
A private burial will take place at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge with his parents and sister.
