Virginia A. Zompanti, 87, of Medford, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024.

Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Sylvia (Valente) Ardito. Virginia, affectionately known as Ginny, was a devoted wife to her beloved husband Carlo. The joy and love they shared was evident to all who knew them, often lighting up her face with a radiant smile and a twinkle in her eye whenever he was near.

Ginny had a passion for family, gardening, and knitting. She possessed a remarkable talent for drawing. In addition to her artistic pursuits, she found great joy in cooking and was an enthusiastic member of the St. Raphael Choir, where her voice was cherished by many.

Virginia’s warmth, creativity, and love for life will be remembered fondly by her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and artistry that touched all who knew her.

Beloved wife of 58 years to Carlo Zompanti. Devoted mother of Cheryl Zompanti of Medford and Carl Zompanti of Medford. Cherished siter of the late Charles Ardito, Paul Ardito and John Ardito. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Callling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) THURSDAY, August 29th from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. A prayer service will be conducted in the funeral home at 12:00PM.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
