
Our condolences go out to the Saltman family for the loss of Leo.
Leo Saltman, a Somerville High School Graduate, a United States Marine at Parris Island, a former Somerville Department of Public Works employee and a father who had many friends across the city who enjoyed his friendship.
You could always ask Leo anything that has to do with tree’s in the City of Somerville and he could answer it for you with a smile! Leo was a good friend to many here in the city as well as here at The Somerville News Weekly.
Leo will be sadly missed by many here in Somerville.

SALTMAN, Leonard “Leo”, Jr. Of Somerville, January 8th, 2017 at age 49. Devoted husband of Celia (Miller) Saltman. Loving father of Matthew, Kelsie, Shayne and Megan Saltman. Proud and Cherished Papa of Renata. Adored son of Sandra (Dobbins) Saltman and the late Leonard Saltman Sr. Loving Brother of Cynthia Saltman. Beloved Son-in-law of the late Richard and Joan Miller. Leo is survived by 15 nieces and nephews, was the great uncle of 3 and will be greatly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, but especially by his dog Deeks. Funeral from the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge St., CAMBRIDGE on Friday, January 13th, 2017 at 9:00 am. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, (Union Square) in Somerville at 10:00 am. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Thursday, January 12th, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Leo served proudly in the United States Marine Corp., was a retired City of Somerville employee and a member of the American Legion Post 45 of Medford.
