We were just notified about the situation that occurred earlier today at Fuddruckers that’s located on Broadway Rte, 1 N, Saugus, MA 01906.
A family visited the restaurant today where a car show was taking place in their parking lot. A customer there ordered a burger and french fries for himself and a variety of different items for his wife and three children . The customer ate half his meal there then wrapped it and brought the remainder of the meal home and on the very last bite into a French frie, the customer bit into a sharp metal shavings inside of the frie.
I called Fudruckers and spoke to a manager in charge. His name was Pratim and he said he would take care of the situation. I asked him how he was going to notify the public and worn consume is who ate there today and are you going to stop selling that product today until you open your investigation? He said “I’ll take care of it.” I said I need a call from your general manager and within twenty minutes another manager named James, who refused to give me his last name called me back. I asked him do you know what’s going on here? Do you know what happened? He replied “No!” I asked him if he was going to make any sort of public announcement of any kind to notify the public and anyone who may have ordered French fries from there today the metal shavings were found in the french fries itself and are you going to notify the public and are you going to halt using that same product until you investigate to situation? He replied “I don’t know.”
The first manager said that Fuddruckers purchased the product from a food distribution company called Cisco. We are still waiting to see if they make a public announcement and/stop selling that product to consumers. We are still waiting on a call with their decision. This story is still developing…
