Please follow the rules at our home field during the games. All players must go onto the field by crossing on the carpet, NO CLEATS on the track, NO Gatorade, Bags or Back Parks on the field.

Mark your calendars: The East Somerville by Designcharrette is coming up and we need your ideas. Join planners, city staff, and your neighbors Mon., Sept. 30th through Wed., Oct. 2, to talk about the future of East Somerville. The results are in and Somerville Public Schools showed phenomenal growth on MCAS tests in 2013. Being the data lovers that we are, we’ve been going through the numbers and have found lots of great news in the latest test results. Some highlights include: Somerville High made a 2-level jump to a Level 1 Designation; the district’s Student Growth Percentile surpassed almost all districts with 1,000+ students; there was a notable rise in the number of students scoring advanced or proficient in math and English language arts. After much debate and speculations of Congressman Mike Capuano running in the election for the 2014 corner office, he released the following statement:
“After taking time to reflect with my family, I have decided that I will not be a candidate for Governor in 2014. I am truly touched by the support and encouragement I received throughout this process, but believe that I can best serve the Commonwealth in Congress. I will continue to be a strong voice for progressive policies in Washington.”
State Fire Marshal Stephen D. Coan, Somerville Fire Chief Kevin W. Kelleher and Somerville Police Chief Thomas Pasquarello said last night’s fire, on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 27 Dickinson Street remains under investigation on Friday but it does not appear suspicious in nature. At this stage, the investigative team is focusing on several possible accidental causes.
The fire is being jointly investigated by members of the Somerville Fire and Police Departments and state police assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
