Billy M. Farrell – Of Medford, passed away with his siblings by his side on Monday, February 16, 2026, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 61 years old.
Born in Somerville, he was the beloved son of the late William T. and Lois (Clark) Farrell.
Billy was a generous and loyal man who would give anything to anyone. He always made sure the people around him had whatever they needed and often even what they wanted. His kind and selfless nature shined brightest in his role as an uncle. Though he did not have children of his own, his nieces and nephews were his world. He loved each of them deeply and had a special way of making every one of them feel like they were his favorite.
Billy loved all things sports, but football was his true passion. He knew the latest statistics, players, and team updates inside and out. If you ever needed information about a team or a game, Billy was the one to ask. He was a walking encyclopedia when it came to football.
Known as the life of the party, Billy had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. From the moment someone walked through the door, he would greet them warmly and make them feel right at home. His laughter, energy, and larger-than-life personality will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Beloved brother of Maureen Jenkins and her long time companion Jeff (Last name needed), Denise Farrell-Sanseverino of Medford, and Timothy Farrell and his wife Penny of Malden. Devoted uncle of Krystal Koch, Kayla and Danny Milch, Marco, Gian-Paul, Isabella and Matteo Sanseverino, and Jessica Farrell. Cherished great uncle to 4 nephews and 1 niece. Also survived by many loving friends and extended family members.
