At about 6:15 this past Wednesday morning Medford Fire received multiple calls from neighbors for a fire at 134 Fern Rd.
The responding companies could see the smoke from across the city. A 2nd alarm was struck by command immediately. Companies from Medford, Arlington, Malden, and Somerville worked all morning in the heat. Unfortunately the house was severely damaged but thankfully none of the residents or firefighters were hurt.
