Somerville/Medford Remembering George Nicholas Kacoyanis

George Nicholas Kacoyanis – Of Medford, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, June 30, 2025. He was 71 years young.

Born and raised in Somerville, George was the beloved son of the late Nicholas George and Anna (Saricostas) Kacoyanis. Known for his incredible culinary talent, George had a true passion for cooking. Nothing made him happier than seeing someone smile after tasting one of his homemade meals. For George, food was love, and sharing it brought him immense joy.

A devoted brother and uncle, George’s warmth and kindness left a lasting impact on his family. He had a remarkable ability to make each person feel special, always giving his full attention and love to those around him. His presence was a comfort, his laughter unforgettable, and his heart immeasurable.

Beloved son of the late Nicholas G. and Anna (Saricostas) Kacoyanis. Devoted brother of Mary Fries, Kay Psaros and her husband George, Christine Sillari and her late husband John and Georgia Woodsworth. Cherished uncle of Diane Varney, Karen Fitzpatrick, Nick Fries, Christina Sillari, Charles Sillari, Stephen Sillari, Jenn Calder, Stephen Psaros, Gregory Psaros, Nicole Sullivan and the late Andrew and Michelle Woodsworth and many great nieces, great nephews and cousins

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th in the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Church, 29 Central St., Somerville from 10AM to 11AM. Followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett
