Obituary
Mario Medeiros, of Somerville, passed away surrounded by his loving family on April 25th, 2025. He was 45 years old.
He was the cherished son of Carol Medeiros and Stepdad Victor Colocho.
He is survived by his children, Enilyse, Mario Jr (Chino), Emma, and Joshua Medeiros; his former wife, Darlene; and his precious new grandson, Apollo.
He was the beloved brother of Stacey Velasquez and her husband, Jesus, and nephew of Joseph Medeiros of Peabody and Corinne and Carlos Gavino of Virginia Beach, VA. Mario is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
Born and raised in Somerville, Mario was a man of character. Mario was a good friend and has a profound impact on everyone who knew him.
A beloved employee of Big Night Live and an all-around handyman, Mario took care of those he loved and helped those in need. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed spending time in the garage, especially teaching his kids how to fix things or repairing vehicles for friends. Mario’s kindness, generosity, laughter and selfless spirit touched everyone he met. He will be deeply missed and always loved.
Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) on Thursday, May 1st from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.
Interment will be private.
