Mrs. Helen Irene (Becker) Farrell, of Arlington, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024, she was 90 years young. Born in Boston and raised in Somerville she was the only child of Irene (Lepore) and Frederick Becker.

Helen graduated from Somerville High School and for many years worked for the Bay Bank Corporation as an operations specialist. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Farrell.

Helen will be remembered for her style and grace, who enjoyed her weekly trips to the salon and always dressed impeccably. She loved parties and socials with friends, but above all she loved nothing more than time spent with her family.

The devoted mother of Robert Day and his wife Maria of Arlington, Kerry Tacey and her companion Frank of Arlington, Lisa Martin and her husband Paul of Taunton and the late Lorraine Benoit and her surviving husband, Gary. She was the cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Dear cousin of Marilyn Emerson of North Carolina and Joan Mahoney of Duxbury. She was the dear companion of the late Charles J. “Charlie” Copelotti of Lexington.

Funeral Procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway Somerville on Friday, September 6th at 11:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Agnes Church, Arlington at 12:00 Noon. Relatives and friends invited to attend.

Calling Hours Thursday 4:00PM – 7:00PM.

Services will conclude with burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
