Welcome back to the DILBOY NEWS. It’s been a long time since “The Post” has had a newsletter. We hope this newsletter will once again become a regular means of communication for all our members, including the Auxiliary.
Reestablishing the DILBOY NEWS in the 21st century promises to be a challenge, particularly reaching all members. We realize everyone does not have computer/internet access; therefore, we will be using different methods to distribute the DILBOY NEWS.
Creating the actual Newsletter is one thing, but distribution is going to take some ingenuity. Emailing the News to members will be the quickest and cheapest, with actual postal mailing being the slowest and most expensive. Using the post office means: paper costs, printing costs, and postage costs as well as the time required to physically perform the associated tasks with mailing a hard copy.
Another means of distribution will be, copies of the Newsletter available at the Post. We will also post the Newsletter on our website, http://www.dilboyvfw529.com for members to access.
Content, this is your/our newsletter. In addition to the Post making announcements, we are asking you for your help to assist us in collecting news items. Your input, by submitting news items, will be important and will help provide members with a timely, useful, historical and entertaining Newsletter. This could include photos, news stories, websites, links to websites, and announcements.
