Obituary
Jerome Sanfilippo, Jr., longtime resident of Somerville, MA, sadly passed away on May 11, 2024 at the age of 69. Born in Boston, MA, Junior, as he was known by all, had a way of connecting with people. He could light up a room with his infectious smile and big personality.
He enjoyed making people laugh and treated everyone as a friend. Junior was soft-hearted and generous when it came to his family and close friends and had a huge warm spot for animals having found homes for a number of needy animals, most recently his beloved cat “The Fluff”.
Junior worked in construction and was a member of Local 22 Laborers Union, a delivery driver for many years with Agar Supply Co., and a member of the East Side Athletic Association. He was the beloved son of the late Jerome and Maria Stella (DiMare) Sanfilippo. He was the proud and doting father of Ericka Loberg and her husband, Carl, of Saugus; cherished grandfather to Julia and Cameron; devoted and loving companion of Donna (Skane) Akerley; dear and loving brother of Josephine Reddin, Linda Bitto and Camille Rossetti; and special friend to his “buddy”, David.
