Obituary
Mrs. Doris Mae (Foster) Langone, of Tewksbury and formerly of Somerville, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. She was 91 years young. Born and raised in Somerville she was the daughter of the late Hilda (March) and Harold Foster. Following the sudden passing of her mother Hilda, she was lovingly raised by her cherished aunt Irene (March) Dobson.
Despite all of the challenges she faced growing up, she graduated from Somerville High School and put herself through the Somerville Hospital School of Nursing. She was a dedicated nurse serving her patients at Somerville Hospital, Central Hospital and later the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jamacia Plain, where she retired. Always one to be active she continued working during retirement up until she was 88. Above all Doris was devoted to her family and will be lovingly remembered for all she has done for so many.
The beloved wife of the late Michael D. Langone, she was the devoted mother of Michael D. Langone, Jr., Nanette C. Langone of North Andover and the late Randy Kelleher. Cherished grandmother of Jacob, Michael III, Alexandra, Brittany, Amanda, Alicia and Randal, great-grandmother of Aliyah and Javien. Dear sister of the late Eleanor Guidi and her husband Joseph, Pricilla Foster and Harold “Sonny” Foster.
A Celebration of Doris’ Life will be held at a later date.
