Somerville/ Medford Remembering Servilia Reyes

Reyes, Servilia of Somerville, passed away at Massachusetts General Hospital on Saturday February 12th, 2022. She was 74.
Born and raised in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Geronimo DeJesus-Reyes and Claudina Dominguez-Gonzales.

Servilia came to the emigrated to U.S. as a young woman and started her own day care. She loved to care for children, especially her own grandchildren and great grandchildren. If she wasn’t taking care of children, you could find her singing, playing the guitar or the guiro. She loved her parakeets, finches and caring for any injured pigeons. Servilia was a kind, and gentle women to all.
She was the beloved mother of Haydee Pacheco, Adrain Pacheco, Lucy Pacheco, Alejandro Pacheco, Lourdes Colon, Carmen Barretto, Daisy Reyes, Ada Cruz, Betsy Rivera, Elsie Smith and Steven Smith. She was the loving grand mother of many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Funeral Home service will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home., 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, Friday February 25th at 11AM.
Relatives and friends are invited.
Calling hours will be Friday morning from 9 AM to 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Saint Paul Cemetery, Arlington.
