Somerville/Medford Speakup Line: I sent this letter to every City Council member and the Mayor’s office but never received any response…

Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,

Dear Billy T,

RE: Jessica Turner
I sent this letter to every City Council member and the Mayor’s office but never received any response…
Do you know why Jessica Turner still holds an official role in the City of Somerville? Why did not one City Council member or the Mayor’s office not address a constituent’s concern with the respect of a response?

Here is my letter…

Dear Somerville City Council Members:

For your review…please remove Jessica Turner from her Somerville position.
After her attendance and participation in the Capitol attack she should not be allowed to remain an employee in the City of Somerville.
If that jeopardizes both her position AND her subsidized housing partially paid for by Somerville taxpayers that will be Ms.Turner’s consequence to bear as a result of Ms. Turner’s very bad decision on what to do during a pandemic in her spare time as a Somerville official…no excuse can condone her representing Somerville’s Housing Trust Fund.

Her news version of what happened is a result of getting caught and is a disgrace and an embarrassment to this wonderful city of Somerville.

This is so disheartening as a Somerville resident to know that she is still listed on the City’s official website today as an official even after all that has been reported…how many excuses need to be heard before she is removed from her current position?

I realize Somerville has a protocol to follow but please do the right thing by not entertaining her excuses and see the facts that she was in attendance the day Democracy was almost lost!

Thank you for your consideration and please be safe and well,
thank you for serving your constituents.

Heidi, Ward 5 Resident
Somerville MA
