Wayne was a wonderful and very well liked man who made many friends here in the city. Many of us here at the News Weekly have very fond memories of Wayne from the King Soloman’s Masonic Lodge in Somerville.

Wayne A. Snow will be sadly missed here in Somerville.

Obituary-
Wayne A. Snow, 68, of Haverhill, formerly of Somerville, passed away suddenly on April 15, 2020. Born in Boston and raised in Somerville,
he was the son of the late Donald B. Snow and the late Dorothy A. Benson.
Devoted and beloved husband of 40 years to Cheryle (Downing) Snow. Father to Derek Snow of New York, Donald Snow and his wife Michelle of Haverhill; David Snow and his wife Molly of Haverhill, and Daniel Snow, who is currently serving aboard the U.S.S Abraham Lincoln. He also leaves grandchildren Lexi Snow, Addison Snow, Jackson Snow, Donald Snow and Rose Snow. Brother to Donna Snow Berkowitz and her husband William of Stoneham, Debra Ponte and her husband Joseph of Londonderry, NH and the late Lori (Snow) Wright of Somerville.
He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Suffolk University, he went on to build a successful tax accounting and business consulting practice in Somerville for many years. Wayne was a larger than life fixture in Somerville and could be seen around the Union and Davis Square areas before moving his practice to Charlestown several years ago. He explored other business opportunities including a venture with Russian partners taking him on several trips to Russia. He learned to converse in basic Russian and helped to open The American Store in Moscow and also founded Ultradiamond Technologies.
Active in civic organizations over the years, he was a member of the Kiwanis Club and King Soloman’s Masonic Lodge in Somerville.
A direct descendent of John Alden and Nathaniel Thayer as well as both Adams Presidents, he had a passion for genealogy and spent countless hours researching his family heritage. An avid reader, Wayne had an extraordinary knowledge of American History which led to his helping to re-activate the Charlestown Re-enactment Gardner’s Regiment Militia.
He also enjoyed spending time at the family beach house in Plymouth, MA where he enjoyed sailing.
Adhering to the guidelines of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the CDC, funeral services were private.
