THE SOMERVILLE NEWS WEEKLY’S SPECIAL PERSON OF THE WEEK JAY QUINN

By Frank Santangelo

Jay Quinn, is a lifelong Somerville resident of Shore Drive and a Somerville High School ‘Class of 78’ graduate. He’s also a fifteen year veteran of the Somerville Department of Public Works.

You can see Jay out and about working in just about all sorts of weather repairing water main breaks, plowing snow or even putting up the city’s Christmas lights, but wherever you see him, he always has a cheerful smile on his face.

Co-workers on crews that work with Jay, have been noticed to have a much higher and happy morale status because he’s a pleasure to work with and because he’s a true gentleman and treats everybody with respect.

Jay is an all around nice guy who helps keep the running gears of the City of Somerville fine tuned, well oiled and always working.

Whenever there is a good cause that needs special attention, Jay is always there to lend a helping hand.

We here at the Somerville News Weekly salute you for everything that you do to make Somerville a better place.

Congratulations!
