Somerville Remembering Joe Howard

Preliminary notice: Death of Somerville Kiwanis Club Past President Joe Howard

It is with deep sadness that President Darcie DeLuca informs the membership of the death of Past President Joseph Howard.  PP Joe has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Somerville for 65 years.  He joined the club on May 27th, 1954.  Joe was an active member of the Somerville Kiwanis Club and was the former owner of Howard the Florist on Winter Hill.  PP Joe was very active in the business community and performed many local acts of charity before retiring to his home in Manomet.  He also held the rank of Lieutenant in the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts where he was a senior life member. 

There will be a celebration of PP Joe’s life ‪on January 4th, 2020‬ at the Chiltonville Congregational Church ‪6 River St, Plymouth, MA.‬ Final details are not available at this time and the membership will be informed when they are received.

Please keep the family of Past President Joe Howard in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult period.

  2. My whole family has been friends with Joe for many years. J.W. Howard Florist was our florist for every occasion. A wonderful florist and friend. He will never be forgotten!
    Winter Hill has never been the same since Joe retired!
    He is missed by many!
