3 DAY FILM FESTIVAL STARTING TONIGHT (OCTOBER 18TH!) AT THE ARTS AT THE ARMORY – HALLOWEEN BASH AND HALLOWEEN SHORTS, SATURDAY AT THE CAPITOL THEATRE IN ARLINGTON AND FOX LIBRARY, AND SUNDAY SCREENING DOWNTOWN WITH CLOSING PARTY AND AWARDS

Doors at 5:30pm, Films at 7:30pm Friday night (nothing to scary).

We will be showing some 7+ hours of Films, Animations, and Documentaries across the various screenings venues over the 3-day event October 18th-20th.

Friday

We are kicking off with a Halloween Bash at the Arts at the Armory in Somerville Friday Night with Halloween Shorts, Animation, Live Music, and Networking. Networking live music at 5:30pm, movies at 7:30pm (nothing too scary!). All the details here: http://screamingostrich.video/get-tickets

Each day will also have a FREE networking/panel occurring Saturday and Sunday..

Saturday

Saturday NOON Fox Library, Arlington – FREE Networking panel with Johhny Hickey (OxyMorons, newly released Habitual), Chuck Slavin (a leader in SAG-AFTRA), Stu Nunnery (Composer, industry veteran with an amazing story to tell about managing hearing loss), and Brendan Egan (only 16 years old and three films on the Festival circuit!).

3pm at the Capitol Theatre – Be sure to check out the FREE Family Screening featuring award winning Snowflake by Kristen Lucas.

Followed by a PG session at 6pm. Special guest speaker, state Senator William Brownsberger, will speak about the issues covered in the documentary “The Battle for Ranked Choice Voting” which is featured in the showing.

8:30pm is a roller coaster, tearing you through everything from a serious documentary “The Science of Behavior”, potty mouthed puppets in space “Higher Space” to “Dreams Made Real” conceived, written, shot, edited, original score, and VFX all accomplished in only 48 hours by Director Ned Scannell. Boston’s Screaming Ostrich tried to include something for everyone and boy do we have a mix!

Sunday

4pm Sunday at enceuntro5 at 9 Hamilton Pl, Boston is our Networking Event with Dan Ben-Dror Marshall who will be showing clips from his upcoming Netflix Special

6pm Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Mick Cusimano for his continuing contributions to Animation, Art, Acting, Mixed Media, Poetry, and History!

6:30pm begins with Rod Webber’s latest work, “Straight Pride is Hate Pride.” Also scheduled is “Paying Up”, a highly controversial film with a powerful statement on drug addiction.
