Meet this week’s “Special Person of the Week:Richard J. Scirocco

Richard J. Scirocco a lifelong resident. Born and raised in Somerville 1966. Current resident in the Winter Hill area. Educated by Somerville Schools and a successful businessman, owner of Scirocco and Sons Construction here in Somerville since 1984 and co-owner of The TUMBLE INN Restaurant in Saugus Ma. Since 2013. seating 52 ,and serving up breakfast, lunch, and dinners made to order from all fresh ingredients with a seafood and Italian dinner menu prepared by co-owner Laurie Cunha of East Boston with many family ties from Somerville. Richard spent many years in the public service donating his time to many programs such as the D.A.R.E. Representative for Freemasons, Y.M.C.A., many, many fundraising committees, serving as Treasurer 2 terms and President 4 terms of Little League, President of the Somerville Youth Roller Hockey of which he founded, the Kiwanis Club, of which he still raises thousands of dollars each year. 

When a worthy cause arises in Somerville, Rich is always the first one in line to be there and give them his complete total support. 

His efforts have assisted many elderly people over the years and currently works as a political and fundraiser advisor.
