I testified at the State House supporting paid family medical leave, particularly the amendment supporting a week of paid vacation for returning veterans and their families. I deployed to Iraq twice and was denied a homecoming with my family. Everyone would agree that veterans deserve time with their families, but why should we have to fight in a war for this courtesy? We live in the richest and most powerful country on the planet. We can afford to give all families a break.
