“The perpetrators of the scam present themselves as employees with “U.S. Immigration” and can alter caller ID systems to make it appear that the call is coming from the DHS OIG Hotline telephone number (1-800-323-8603).”
These scammers are trying to obtain your personal information. They will use scare tactics such as claiming that you have been a victim of identity theft.
Please do not give your personal information to these individuals. Also, do not answer calls showing up with this number. 
“DHS OIG will investigate the situation and would like to remind the public that “DHS OIG never uses its Hotline number to make outgoing calls.”
